A 19-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly running down three people with a vehicle in a Saskatoon parking lot after a fight.
According to police, officers were called to the 900 block of Central Avenue, in the city’s Sutherland neighbourhood, shortly after 2 a.m.

“Information outlined a vehicle had hit three people in a parking lot following a physical altercation,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“The driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival but was located by officers shortly after. A traffic stop was conducted and the two occupants were arrested without further incident.”
Police said two of the people allegedly struck by the vehicle were treated by paramedics for “what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries,” while the third victim left the scene before officers arrived.
The 19-year-old man who was allegedly behind the wheel is now facing three charges of assault with a weapon and an additional charge of dangerous driving, the police force said.
The other occupant of the vehicle, another 19-year-old man, was charged with breaching court-ordered conditions.
Man injured with ‘bladed weapon’: Police
A 38-year-old man was hospitalized on Sunday morning after he was allegedly attacked by two men.
According to police, officers were called to the 1000 block of Eighth Street East after getting a report that a man had been injured “by a bladed weapon.”
Police said the 38-year-old man was taken to hospital by paramedics with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
“Officers learned the man was allegedly assaulted by two unknown males; police searched the area for the suspects but were not successful,” the police force said in a statement.
