Police in Saskatoon say officers have identified a man who was found dead in Saskatoon’s Caswell Hill neighbourhood earlier this month, but the force isn’t saying who it was, citing privacy.
In a news release issued on Friday, police said the man’s body was found in the 100 block of 29th Street West early on March 9. Police said no ID documents were found on his body and appealed to the public for help identifying him.

Police also noted that his death was not considered suspicious.
On Tuesday, police announced that he had been identified and thanked both the public and media for their assistance with the case, though police did not say who the man was.
“As the death is not believed to be suspicious in nature, and in line with our general practice, the name of the deceased will not be released out of respect for privacy,” a Saskatoon police spokesperson said in an email to 650 CKOM.
