Police in Saskatoon were kept busy on Saturday morning, responding to four separate stabbing attacks in just over four hours.
According to police, the first incident saw officers called to the 200 block of Barrett Street, in the city’s Aspen Ridge neighbourhood, at around 7:15 a.m. after getting a report that a woman had been stabbed.

“Arriving officers located the adult female with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing and she was transported to hospital by paramedics for further medical care,” the police force said in a statement.
“Through further investigation, officers learned the incident took place in the 200 block of Forsey Avenue.”
The second incident happened about 15 minutes later, when officers were called to a business on 22nd Street West.
“Upon arrival, officers located a male with injuries consistent with a stabbing and began applying medical aid until paramedics arrived. The 42-year-old man was transported to hospital with what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” the police force said.
“Officers checked the surrounding area in search of the suspect but were not successful.”
The next incident saw police called to a medical facility on 20th Street West at around 8:30 a.m., after getting a report saying a man had been stabbed.
“Police arrived on scene and located the male with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. “The 46-year-old man was receiving medical care for his injuries.”
The police force said officers were called to the scene of the fourth stabbing, also on 22nd Street West, around 11:30 a.m.
“Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old man with injuries consistent with a stabbing; he was transported to hospital for further medical care,” police said.
“While on their way to the call, officers also obtained a suspect description and were able to locate and arrest the 23-year-old suspect in the 1800 block of 22nd Street West.”
Police said the suspect has been charged with aggravated assault and is expected to appear in court on Monday.
