Two men from North Battleford are facing charges following a homicide in North Battleford on Friday morning.
In a news release, RCMP said a 30-year-old man died following a reported shooting in a motel parking lot. Officers were called to the scene at 7:45 a.m. about an injured man outside a business.

The victim was declared dead by paramedics at the scene. His family was notified.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit then took over the investigation.
Two 19-year-old men were arrested at the business and have been charged in relation to the man’s death.
“Further investigation has determined that one of the males assaulted and pointed a firearm at another individual in the business, and the two adult males confined the individual to a room at the business,” RCMP said.
“The victim was later transported to hospital for injuries described as non-life threatening in nature.”
One man is facing four charges, including first-degree murder, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm.
The other man is facing manslaughter and forcible confinement charges.
Both are set to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday.
RCMP said no further details are available.
Cab driver known as a hardworking man
Haris Korath of Crown Cab told battlefordsNOW one of his drivers was shot after being dispatched around 7:30 a.m. for a pickup at a motel.
“Something happened there with the driver, and he got shot three times, and he passed away,” said Korath.
In a social media post, Crown Cab described the employee as “a dedicated member of our team and a hardworking driver who served our community every day.”
The company said it would shut down service for the rest of the day out of respect for the employee and his family.
