A fire early Thursday morning led to a fallen power line in Saskatoon’s Westmount neighbourhood.
Firefighters who arrived at the 1300 block of 23rd Street West saw smoke and flames coming from a detached garage around 3:34 a.m.

The fire spread to a nearby power pole, causing it to fall and arc, according to a release from the City of Saskatoon.
Fire crews put out the fire with multiple hoses. There was one vehicle inside the garage, but no injuries as a result of the fire.
Saskatoon Light & Power was called to repair the power line. A fire investigator responded to examine and inspect the scene.
