Canadian singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn will headline the final day of ticketed performances during the Sask Jazz Fest this summer.
The 80-year-old “Lovers in a Dangerous Time” singer will take the stage on Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m. in Victoria Park, following performances by Royal Wood at 7 p.m. and Eileen Laverty at 5:30 p.m.

“Bruce Cockburn is obviously a Canadian favourite, and will be joined by Royal Wood, who is a newly minted Saskatoonian, actually, and Eileen Laverty, who is a Saskatchewan Artist,” Shannon Josdal, the festival’s executive director, said in a statement.
Tickets for the July 10 performances go on sale on Friday, starting at $65 plus taxes and service charges. Tickets will increase to $90 on the day of the show, the festival organizers noted.
This year’s lineup also includes performances by The Naysayers, Snacktime and Modest Mouse on July 7, as well as shows by La Lok, Shebad and Noah Cyrus on July 11.
The festival rebranded itself this year, changing its name from the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival to Sask Jazz Fest after losing SaskTel as its $150,000 title sponsor.
