The RCMP is looking for two people involved in an alleged shooting on a First Nation near Carrot River.
A man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries “consistent with a gunshot wound” after an alleged shooting on Red Earth Cree Nation Tuesday afternoon, according to Carrot River RCMP.

In a statement, RCMP said a grey Chevrolet Impala “approached the victim when a firearm was discharged, injuring him.”
Carrot River RCMP received a report of a shooting on Red Earth Cree Nation at about 2:20 p.m, a release from RCMP stated. Mounties believe two people were inside the vehicle, which “fled the scene of the shooting.”
Police officers are working to locate the suspects. Updates will be provided when possible, police said.
“If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public,” the statement read.
