A 25-year-old man with stab wounds who died at St Paul’s Hospital this morning is being investigated as Saskatoon’s first killing of 2026.
The Saskatoon Police Service said in a news release on Feb. 3 that the force’s Major Crimes Section are handling the case after officers were told two men were seeking treatment for stab wounds and went to the hospital around 5:30 a.m.
Police said one man died, while the other is in stable condition.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
In 2025, Saskatoon recorded eight homicides.
