A 44-year-old man is charged in connection with a fatal collision which claimed the life of a woman waiting at a bus shelter on Dewdney Avenue and Elphinstone Street last October.
After a police four-month investigation, the Regina man was charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death.

Officers said they, Regina Fire and Protective Services and paramedics responded to the collision shortly after 12 p.m on Oct. 12.
“When they arrived, they located a seriously injured female lying on the ground. EMS pronounced the 19 year-old victim deceased on scene,” said police in a statement issued Tuesday.
Police investigation showed the freight truck was travelling east on Dewdney Avenue when the driver “failed to stop at a red light and collided with a vehicle travelling south on Elphinstone Street.”
The south-bound vehicle driver sustained minor injuries, noted police.
“The freight truck collided with several fences and a streetlight before coming to a stop a short distance away in the front yard of a residence on Dewdney Avenue,” said the police force.
The 44-year-old man made his first court appearance Tuesday in provincial court.
