The Western Canadian Crop Production Show wrapped up on Thursday at Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park.
The three-day event brought together exhibitors from across the country to showcase the latest farming technologies. The 43rd year of the annual event brought 16,114 attendees through the gates, with the 240,000 square foot show floor completely sold out and packed with more than 340 exhibitors.

“The sold-out status of the trade show is a testament to its significance in the industry, offering unparalleled opportunities for exhibitors and producers to engage in meaningful dialogue,” Leigh Ann Hurlburt, Prairieland’s agricultural manager, said in a statement.
Hurlburt said the Crop Production Show is a lot more than just an average trade show.
“This event is not just about showcasing products; it provides a platform for the exchanges of cutting-edge ideas and innovations; it’s about fostering connections and facilitating the progress of our agricultural community,” Hurlburt explained.
A recent addition to the show has been the innovation award, which is now in its third year. This year, the organizers recognized WEED IT for its “groundbreaking work in precision weed control, an advancement that strongly resonated with producers seeking smarter, more sustainable solutions.”
Prairieland said educational programming at the show’s Nufarm Informaton Theatre drew good crowds, with experts tackling topics like farm succession planning and methods to deal with kochia, an invasive weed.
“With more than four decades of serving Western Canada’s agriculture industry, the Crop Production Show continues to be the first stop of the year for grain producers seeking tools, technology, and expert insight to boost yields and make confident decisions for the season ahead,” organizers wrote in a statement.
“Exhibitors from across Canada once again delivered solutions designed to boost efficiency, improve yields, and support confident decision making.”
