Moore, 45, is now representing himself after his lawyer Brian Pfefferle withdrew from the case on Tuesday at Saskatoon Provincial Court.
Saskatoon police arrested Moore on Dec. 17. At that time, he was charged with public incitement of hatred and unsafe storage of a firearm.
“In 2024, Saskatoon Police received a complaint about an individual making anti-Semitic comments online,” the police force said in a statement.
“A subsequent investigation by the Hate Crime Unit identified the individual, and a search warrant executed at a residence resulted in the seizure of digital evidence as well as a firearm.”
Moore declined to comment on the case outside of the courthouse. He’s set to make his next appearance on Feb. 24.
In a previous interview with 650 CKOM, Richard Robertson, B’nai Brith Canada’s director of research and advocacy, said the content Moore allegedly posted was very concerning.
“They contain denials of the Holocaust. They spread conspiracy theories about the Jewish community. They engage in the proliferation of blood libels,” Robertson said.
“They contain imagery associated with the Nazi Party. They contain slogans such as, ‘make anti-Semitism great again,’ superimposed over a picture of Adolf Hitler.”
According to Robertson, B’nai Brith informed the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission about Moore’s online presence in May of 2024, and his professional licence was subsequently revoked.
