Parking is free on Thursday, but Saskatoon Transit will be running on its holiday service hours. The public can also take advantage of free service on all routes on New Year’s Eve between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m., and on-demand transit service will also be available.
The city said times may vary slightly depending on the route in question, and noted that customers registered with Access Transit can also reserve rides for free up to 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.
“On busy nights like New Year’s Eve, riders are encouraged to plan ahead. Trip-planning apps will not be available after regular service hours, so customers should check schedules, review route maps, and save trip details earlier in the day using the Transit App or Google Maps Transit,” the City of Saskatoon said in a statement.
“Routes will continue operating at their scheduled frequency until approximately 3 a.m.”
More information is available on the Saskatoon Transit website.
