The City of Saskatoon is cutting the hours at some indoor leisure centres by 30 minute per day from Jan. 1 to March 31 in an effort to save money.
“The change was approved by City Council during the 2026-27 multi-year business plan and budget process as part of ongoing efforts to manage costs responsibly while continuing to provide high-quality recreation services,” the city said in a statement.

Hours for the Cosmo Civic Centre will run from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The centre will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. The centre will be closed on statutory holidays.
The Saskatoon Field House will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday, and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Lawson Civic Centre will open for 6:15 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, hours run from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 10 a.m. tot 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.
The Lakewood Civic Centre will be open to visitors from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.
The Shaw Centre will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday. Saturday hours will run from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays the centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
