Motorists in the Saskatoon area should be aware of a weather warning issued by Environment Canada, forecasts 10 to 15 centimetres of snow throughout Friday during the day into Saturday morning.

“This amount of snow can quickly create challenging driving conditions, including slippery sections on high-traffic routes,” said the City of Saskatoon in a statement.
The city says its crews will be on the streets during the storm.
“Sanding trucks will manage icy sections while plows and graders will clear snow as it accumulates on priority routes,” said the city.
The city also asks drivers to look out for blue and amber flashing lights on road maintenance equipment and give operators the room they need to work safely.
“Once a Snow Event is declared – following a more than 5cm snowfall – residents can follow progress through the Priority Street Snow Grading Map.
