The Saskatchewan RCMP recovered stolen property – including two vehicles – and seized a handgun after an investigation into a vehicle that was allegedly stolen from Martinson Beach last week.
According to the RCMP, officers spotted the stolen vehicle on the Moosomin First Nation on Wednesday morning and attempted to stop the driver, but the driver allegedly took off, colliding with the police vehicle before fleeing.

The officers inside the police vehicle were uninjured in the crash, the Mounties noted.
Police saw the stolen vehicle stop at a nearby home, where the driver was arrested. A second person was also arrested from inside the home.
The following day, RCMP officers raided the home. Police said the officers seized a handgun, a replica gun, gun parts, ammunition, “small amounts” of methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.
Police also recovered a second vehicle which had previously been reported stolen, along with stolen tools, a stolen laptop and portable radios that were believed to have been taken during a break-in on the Fist Nation last week. A third person was also arrested during the search.
A 50-year-old man from the Moosomin First Nation is now facing charges of driving while prohibited, flight from a peace officer, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possessing weapons contrary to a court order and dangerous driving.
An 18-year-old and a 27-year-old man, both also from the Moosomin First Nation, were each charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The 50-year-old man is also facing charges of failing to comply with conditions of a release order and possession of weapons contrary to a court order.
All three appeared in court on Friday, the RCMP said.
