A crash between a semi and a car on Friday afternoon left a 25-year-old Moose Jaw man dead.
According to a statement released on Monday morning by the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 2, just north of the city, at around 12:30 p.m.

“Investigation determined that a semi truck and trailer and a car collided,” the Mounties said. “The driver of the car was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.”
The man’s family has been notified of his death, police said.
The driver of the semi did not report any injuries, but was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, police said. Neither vehicle was carrying passengers at the time of the crash.
“Moose Jaw RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist,” the Mounties noted.
