An 18-year-old man from Prince Albert was arrested in Saskatoon on Sunday evening after allegedly firing a shotgun in a parking lot on Avenue X South.
According to police, officers were called to the scene in the city’s Meadowgreen neighbourhood at around 9:40 p.m.

“Upon arrival, a male suspect was located nearby in the dog park at 17th Street West and Avenue W South,” police said in a statement.
The man was arrested using a police dog, the police force said, following an attempt to flee on foot. Police said he was carrying ammunition when he was arrested, and officers also found a shotgun.
“The man is now facing six charges including Obstruction and Intentionally Discharging a Firearm,” police said in a statement.
No arrests after stabbing leaves victim with ‘serious injuries’
A 37-year-old man was left with serious injuries after a stabbing on Sunday afternoon.
Police said officers were called to the 300 block of 20th Street West at around 1 p.m., after bystanders reported an injured man outside of a business.
“Upon arrival Police located a 37 year old man suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital for what are serious but non life-threatening injuries,” the police force said.
“Initial investigation led officers to the 200 block of Avenue D South, where the incident is believed to have occurred.”
Despite finding the location, police did not many any arrests in connection with the stabbing. Anyone with information that could help further the investigation was encouraged to police or Crime Stoppers.
