A teenage boy has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision that happened Oct. 31 in La Loche.
La Loche RCMP said it received a report from paramedics on Halloween about a collision involving a pedestrian on Washington Avenue.
After officers responded, paramedics transported the 58-year-old La Loche man to hospital. He was later pronounced deceased, according to police, who added his family has been notified.

“The suspect vehicle did not remain at the scene,” said police in a statement.
After investigation, a La Loche teenage male was arrested and charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident causing death.
Since the suspect is under the age of 18, he cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The boy will be appearing in La Loche Provincial Court on Dec. 29.
