A project to upgrade the primary water main on Acadia Drive in Saskatoon has been put off until the spring.
Work was originally planned to begin last week, but in a statement issued on Tuesday, the city said the project has been deferred. While no firm date was provided, the city said residents and businesses in neighbourhoods affected by the work will be notified “at least two weeks in advance of construction beginning.”

The city previously warned east-side residents and businesses that the work would result in a significant drop in water pressure over a period of about five weeks, though no water outages or quality issues were expected.
“This project is needed to deliver long-term water quality and reliability,” the city said.
