Police are looking for a victim who was reportedly assaulted with an axe on Friday evening in Saskatoon’s Riversdale neighbourhood.
The Saskatoon Police Service said a 37-year-old man is facing charges in connection with the alleged attack.

According to police, officers were called to the area of 20th Street and Avenue H at approximately 6:30 p.m.
“A witness reported seeing two men on bicycles when one of them struck the other with an axe,” the police force said in a statement.
“Both men fled the scene. Officers were able to locate the male matching the suspect description nearby and brought him into custody after a short pursuit.”
The 37-year-old man’s charges include possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of court-ordered conditions.
Woman faces charges following stabbing in Pleasant Hill
A 19-year-old Saskatoon is facing charges after a stabbing in the 1300 block of 20th Street West on Friday.
Saskatoon police responded to a report of intimate-partner violence in Pleasant Hill just before midnight. A 47-year-old man was found with stab wounds and was transported to hospital in serious condition, police said in a statement.
“The suspect fled the scene in possession of the man’s cell phone but was located by police a short time later,” police said.
The woman is now facing aggravated assault and robbery charges.
Man treated for ‘serious’ stab injuries in Westmount neighbourhood
A 40-year-old man is being treated in hospital for serious injuries after a stabbing on Saturday in Saskatoon’s Westmount neighbourhood.
Shortly before 7 a.m., a passerby saw a man suffering from stab wounds in the 800 block of Bedford Road, police said in a statement.
Members of the Serious Assault Unit are now investigating the attack.
