Information from initial release
In the initial release put out by RCMP on Sept. 15, it received a report of a vehicle potentially impersonating a police officer on a grid road near Midale, which is about 44 km south of Weyburn.
“A vehicle came up behind (the individual) displaying flashing blue and red emergency lights. Both vehicles slowed, then the vehicle with blue and red lights fled,” RCMP said in a statement.
RCMP describe the vehicle as a 2000s-model granite grey heavy-duty Chevrolet truck with a flat deck and heavy-duty rack. The red and blue lights were mounted near the rearview mirror in the front windshield.
