The City of Regina is promoting from within for the position of city manager.
City council voted Wednesday to confirm the appointment of Chad Jedlic, effective Jan. 7, 2027.

A city release highlights Jedlic’s work on complex development initiatives and collaboration across multiple sectors including the private sector, municipal councils, and community leaders.
“Jedlic is a talented, thoughtful, logical and respected leader with a strong track record of collaboration, strategic thinking and delivering results,” said Mayor Chad Bachynski.
“His experience, combined with his innate understanding of our community, positions him well to lead the organization and work closely with Council as we continue building a strong and vibrant Regina.”
The job was previously held by Niki Anderson, who went on leave in April 2025. Her employment was terminated by council three months later.
City clerk Jim Nicol has been serving as acting city manager in the interim. Council thanked Nicol for his leadership during that time.
A biography provided by the city says Jedlic has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree.
“It is an honour to be selected as Regina’s next City Manager,” said Jedlic.
“Regina is a city with tremendous opportunity and I am committed to working with Council, City employees, community partners, businesses and residents to help advance our shared priorities and deliver excellent service for our community. I look forward to continuing to serve the city I am proud to call home.”
His record of service to the community includes the Regina and Region Home Builders’ Association, the Regina Rowing Club, and the Cathedral Village Arts Festival.
