In Saskatoon bylaw court Tuesday, the company and the city’s bylaw prosecutor made a joint submission for a $10,000 fine and a $4,000 victim surcharge.
However, the judge did not accept the submission, and another court date was set for Dec. 3.
City engineers estimated the damage to the overpass at $400,000.
In June, the driver involved in the crash pleaded guilty to damaging city infrastructure and was fined $8,000, along with a victim surcharge of $3,200.
The crash was the first in a series of overpass collisions in Saskatchewan involving heavy equipment, with at least four overpass strikes occurring in March alone.
The most recent overpass strike in Saskatoon occurred last Wednesday, when a semi hauling a trailer collided with the overpass at Ruth Street and Lorne Avenue.
That incident marked the seventh overpass strike in Saskatoon this year and the ninth in Saskatchewan.
