Looking in the rear-view mirror wasn’t enough to keep a 22-year-old from getting arrested because officers were tracking him from above.
According to an RCMP release, on the evening of Sept. 25, Prince Albert police notified Prince Albert RCMP about a suspect who fled from officers in a stolen vehicle.

In response, Saskatchewan RCMP Air Services found the stolen car driving south on Highway 3, south of Prince Albert.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver kept going north toward Prince Albert.
RCMP said Air Services continued tracking the vehicle from above during the pursuit.

Shortly afterward, Air Services found the stolen vehicle parked on Prince Albert’s 20th Street. A tactical flight officer saw the driver flee on foot and relayed his location to officers on the ground.
The driver was arrested, and investigators later learned he was impaired.
A 22-year-old from Prince Albert was charged with four offences, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from a police officer.
