Police are investigating a shooting on Thunderchild First Nation that left a man hospitalized Tuesday.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers were called to the First Nation north of Turtleford shortly before 8 a.m.

“Investigation determined a firearm was discharged, injuring an adult male. He was transported to hospital by EMS for injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature,” the Mounties said in a statement.
“The suspects are described as two adults, both wearing black face coverings. Both suspects were passengers in a black car or dark coloured SUV that fled from the scene. We do not have further descriptors of the vehicle occupants at this time.”
The RCMP asked anyone with information about the shooting, the suspects or their vehicle to report it to police or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
The Mounties also asked anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on Tuesday morning to get in touch with the RCMP.
