A 30-year-old person from Washington state has been arrested on a charge of conspiracy to murder in the Tumbler Ridge mass shooting.
Acting U.S. Attorney Neil Floyd says in a statement that the arrest and criminal complaint stem from the shooting where eight people were killed last February.

Law enforcement leaders in Canada and the United States, including the FBI, will be holding a news conference at noon in Washington about the arrest.
No other details have been released on how the suspect is involved in the case.
Jesse Van Rootselaar killed her mother and brother at their home before killing five students and an educator at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School on Feb. 10.
Van Rootselaar then shot herself dead.
