Drivers in Saskatoon may need to take a couple of detours this week, with closures on four high-traffic roads starting on Thursday and Friday.
The first closure will see 21st Street East closed from Third Avenue South to Fourth Avenue South for the city’s All in a Day event on Thursday. That closure runs from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The city said Avenue W South will be closed at the intersection with 21st Street West for sewer work on Thursday and Friday. The closure starts at 7 a.m. on Thursday, running until 5 p.m. on Friday.
On Friday, McCormack Road will be closed between Borland Place and Whitecap Crescent to make way for resurfacing work. That closure kicks off at 7 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Finally, Spadina Crescent will be closed from 22nd Street East and 24th Street East over the weekend for the annual Step Up Marathon. Those closures start at 6 p.m. on Friday, ending at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
“Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the areas,” the City of Saskatoon said in a statement.
“The City thanks everyone for their patience.”
Saskatoon Transit routes may be affected by the closures, the city noted. Transit riders were advised to check service alerts and third-party apps for the latest updates.
