“A child was located in the water and declared deceased by EMS at the scene,” the RCMP said. “He has been identified as an 8-year-old male. His family has been notified.”
The RCMP said the investigation into the boy’s death has been taken over by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, as there was no evidence of foul play.
“This is considered a sudden death investigation,” the RCMP said. “As there is no element of criminality, we will not be releasing any further details.”
