Saskatoon police are investigating after a synagogue was vandalized with eggs on Aug. 1.
The police reported “the building of a faith-based organization was vandalized over the weekend,” in a news release shared on Wednesday.
In an interview, Rabbi Claudio Jodorkovsky confirmed that Congregation Agudas Israel was targeted while he was leading a religious service on Saturday morning.

Police investigated the incident on Tuesday and learned a man went to a “faith-based organization in the 700 block of McKinnon Avenue South” with a carton of eggs and threw them at “multiple vehicles and sections of the building.”
Police said they reviewed security footage of the incident and have released a description of the suspect. He has a dark-coloured beard, short brown hair and was wearing a black T-shirt with the word “boo” and a white ghost on it. He was also wearing a black ball cap in the footage.
Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact them or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
