An investigation by the Saskatchewan RCMP has led to three arrests connected to robberies in the Little Red River and La Ronge areas.
Two people with guns reportedly threatened a person at a home in Little Red River First Nation on Aug. 2, around 5:45 p.m.
The suspects then threatened the person and stole their SUV and some personal items, according to the Saskatchewan RCMP. The suspects took off in the stolen SUV.

The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries.
Prince Albert RCMP continued investigating to find the stole SUV and suspects.
La Ronge RCMP learned of an incident where three people with guns threatened two people, then allegedly assaulted them and stole their truck on Highway 2, south of La Ronge, the day after.
“The suspects were driving a vehicle matching the stolen SUV’s description, before stealing the truck and abandoning the SUV at the scene,” the RCMP reported.
The victims in the incident were checked in the hospital for their injuries, which were deemed non-life-threatening.
Police notified the Prince Albert RCMP and Waskesiu RCMP to request assistance. The suspects and stolen truck were then located in Northside. There, officers “activated their vehicle’s emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop,” but the stolen truck did not stop.
The truck fled from police along Highway 2, until police stopped the vehicle with a tire deflation device in the Little Red River community. Stopping shortly after the device, two women in the truck were arrested. A man was also arrested after trying to run from police.
Police said no further injuries were reported. The Saskatchewan RCMP said its serious crimes unit and forensic identification services, as well as the Prince Albert RCMP’s police dog services and crime reduction team were all part of the investigation.
Now, a 26-year-old man from Sturgeon Lake First Nation is facing a long list of charges, including resisting or obstructing a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and robbery with an offensive weapon.
The two women – a 22-year-old from La Ronge and a 27-year-old from Little Red River – are also facing a number of robbery- and weapons-related charges, each.
All are expected to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Wednesday.
RCMP arrest woman after traffic stop
Prince Albert RCMP who were patrolling Highway 2 in the Rural Municipality of Buckland saw a vehicle swerving on Aug. 2.
The vehicle was stopped by the officers and the driver, a woman, was given an oral fluid device test, which showed the driver had recently consumed alcohol, according to the RCMP.
The woman was arrested and her vehicle was searched. Officers seized about 55 grams of cocaine and 11 grams of methamphetamine, as well as cash, a can of bear spray and trafficking paraphernalia. Continuing the investigation, officers searched a home in Prince Albert after receiving a search warrant. From there, officers found and seized almost 200 grams of cocaine and an imitation firearm, as well as more cash and trafficking paraphernalia.
A 31-year-old Prince Albert woman is charged with five drug-related charges. She remained in custody until she appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Aug. 4.
The RCMP said its Prince Albert Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan assisted with the case.
