A 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl are facing murder charges in connection with a homicide case in Prince Albert.
According to the Prince Albert Police Service, officers were called to 14th Street East shortly before 2 p.m. on Thursday after getting a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Daina Gauthier with serious injuries. Police and paramedics provided first aid, but Gauthier was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The two teens were arrested on Thursday, police said, and on Friday they were each charged with second-degree murder.
“Both youths have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to make their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday, August 4, 2026,” the police force said in a statement.
“There are no outstanding persons of interest in relation to this investigation, and no additional charges are anticipated.”
