A 32-year-old man from Canoe Narrows is dead after a crash on Highway 16 early on Friday morning.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers got a report of a crash involving a semi truck and a pedestrian about eight kilometres west of North Battleford shortly before 2 a.m.

Police said the pedestrian was declared dead by paramedics at the scene, and his family has been notified.
“The sole occupant of the semi-truck reported no physical injuries to police,” the Mounties said in a statement.
“Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.”
