Saskatoon’s annual Pride Parade will be winding through the city’s downtown core this weekend, and a number of roads will be closed to accommodate the big event.
The city said the parade, which kicks off at noon on Sunday, will feature a new route this year due to the ongoing closure of the University Bridge, and detour signs will be in place to guide drivers around the parade.

The city said the parade will be staged at the Spadina Crescent loop under the University Bridge, and the road will be closed from Kinsmen Park to 24th Street East between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Spadina will be closed between 24th and the Third Avenue roundabout, along with 19th Street East from Avenue B South to Third Avenue South. The Traffic Bridge at Victoria Avenue will also be closed from 11th Street East to 19th Street East during that window, and drivers won’t be able to access the freeway from First Avenue or 19th Street.
Transit routes 5, 8, and 9 will have detours during this event.
After the parade, Gather Local Market will host the Saskatoon Pride main stage from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., featuring performances from Saskatchewan artists @bitterflyband, @blindcommentary, @betweenlikethestar, @ayana_xiaa, @auntie_masker, @queerdalyxe, @roxie_is_foxy, and @paris_of_the_prairies.
The main stage will also feature Vancouver’s @pmforagoodtime from Canada’s Drag Race Season 6, who will perform two sets.
As well, the Saskatoon Pride Market will be open at Gather Local Market and area from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., where over 100 local LGBTQ+ artisans and businesses sell everything from vintage clothes to crafts.
