Police in Saskatoon arrested a man wanted on several Canada-wide warrants this week, seizing cash, drugs and weapons in the process.
According to police, officers were notified by the Vancouver Police Department that a 27-year-old man wanted on 16 separate warrants originating from Vancouver, Calgary and Cochrane, Alta., was in the city.

Police said officers caught up with the wanted man on Barrett Street, in the city’s Aspen Ridge neighbourhood, at around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Police also arrested an 18-year-old man at the same time.
Saskatoon officers later raided a home on Barrett Street as part of the investigation, which police said led to the seizure of 57 grams of cocaine, 58 grams of crack cocaine, $12,145 in cash, two shotgun shells, a knife and “assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.”
In addition to the outstanding warrants, police said both men were hit with 10 charges related to drugs, possessing the proceeds of crime, possessing weapons and breaching court-ordered conditions.
