Saskatchewan RCMP has charged a 55-year-old Melville man with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault after two Mounties were injured in a shooting on Sunday night.
RCMP said Markus Dodge was also facing two charges of discharging a firearm with intent, two counts of pointing a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.

A Serious Crimes Unit investigation found the incident the injured officers were responding to started as an argument between two people, and Dodge has also been charged with uttering threats and assault with a weapon in relation to this argument. The other person involved in the argument did not report physical injuries to police, they said.
Richard Goebel, who lives across the street from the home, told 980 CJME the argument was between neighbours in the front yard about the property line.
Saskatchewan RCMP also said investigators recovered a firearm at the home.
RCMP said the injured officers were in stable condition in hospital but their injuries were considered serious and potentially life-altering in nature.
“We appreciate the support that has been expressed for them, and know that many are interested in more details about them and the nature of their injuries,” RCMP said in a statement. “We want to be mindful of their privacy during this difficult time.”
Dodge was scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on Tuesday.
