A Saskatoon company has been fined a total of $8,000 in connection with a serious worker injury caused by a fall in June of 2024.
According to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, OJ’s Home Solutions Inc. was hit with a fine of $5,714.29 along with a surcharge of $2,285.71 after pleading guilty to a single violation of the province’s occupational health and safety regulations on June 2.

The ministry said the charges stemmed from an incident in Saskatoon on June 4, 2024, when a worker suffered a serious injury after falling from the second floor of a home under construction all the way to the basement through an open stairwell.
