Police in Saskatoon are investigating a stabbing on a city bus.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers were called to the city’s downtown bus terminal at Third Avenue and 23rd Street at around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, after a female victim was stabbed on a Saskatoon Transit bus.

“A 29 year old woman reported that she had been in an altercation with another woman on the bus and was stabbed before the suspect fled,” the police force said in a statement.
“The victim was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The victim and suspect are known to one another.”
Anyone with information that could help police in either investigation was asked to contact Saskatoon police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
Teen boy charged after allegedly firing bear spray into apartment
A 14-year-old boy is facing charges of breaking and entering, assault and possession of a dangerous weapon after allegedly firing bear spray into a Saskatoon apartment early on Thursday morning.
According to police, officers were called to the home on Avenue P South at around 2:40 a.m.
“It was reported that two male youth had kicked the door to the suite down before deploying bear spray and setting off a fire extinguisher. The males fled on foot when officers arrived. One male suspect was brought into custody,” the police force said in a statement.
“The two 34 year old victims suffered the effects of bear spray.”
Several people injured by bear spray in Pleasant Hill
Police said multiple people were bear sprayed in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood on Tuesday.
According to police, officers were called to the 1400 block of 20th Street West after getting a report of an injured person.
Police were told someone had discharged bear spray.
When officers arrived “multiple people” were found suffering from the effects of the spray. Police said the suspect had fled before the officers arrived.
“It is believed that the suspect and victims are known to each other,” police said in a statement.
