An update on Tuesday afternoon from Sean Thody, deputy chief with the Saskatoon Fire Department, shared that the grass fire covered less than 700 square feet.
No cause has been identified, and the city’s fire department crews had the blaze under control within seven minutes of arriving at the scene.
Three minutes later, the fire was completely extinguished.
“No other details are available currently,” Thody shared.
