Alana Ross, Saskatchewan’s minister of parks, culture and sport, said the province is home to many beautiful and diverse provincial parks, emphasizing the importance of getting outside.
“With a wide range of trails, and programs taking place across the province, we invite everyone to explore the natural beauty Saskatchewan has to offer,” Ross said in a statement.
“Spending time in nature and being active is something important we can do for ourselves and our overall health and well-being.”
A number of special events have been planned in Saskatchewan parks to mark National Trails Day, and a full list of the guided hikes and other special programming can be found on the provincial parks website.
