Cameco’s McArthur River mine and Key Lake mill in northern Saskatchewan are back at full production after spring flooding disrupted operations.
The company made the announcement on Wednesday.

On May 10, Cameco announced that spring flooding had affected its ability to operate, with the washout of the Smoothstone River bridge a key factor.
The bridge is a key transport route for Cameco.
A contractor is continuing work on a temporary structure over the river, with the work expected to be completed by the end of May.
Until the route is fully restored, the uranium producer has found an alternate way to deliver its product.
Weight and traffic restrictions also played a role. The company said every spring the thaw and possibility of heavy rain can delay deliveries.
Cameco’s consolidated 2026 production outlook remains unchanged at 19.5 million to 21.5 million pounds of U3O8.
