A police chase in Saskatoon ended with a vehicle stuck in the mud on Sunday evening.
According to police, officers spotted a vehicle on Idylwyld Drive that was weaving into oncoming lanes and speeding at around 8 p.m.

“Police attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle; however, the vehicle did not stop and fled north out of Saskatoon,” the Saskatoon Police Service explained in a statement.
“Officers maintained efforts to stop the vehicle as it continued to flee; damaging fences and driving through fields before ultimately becoming stuck in the mud.”
Police said the 31-year-old man who was behind the wheel was arrested without further incident. He’s now facing charges of dangerous driving, evading police and driving while prohibited.
