The Saskatchewan RCMP has made an arrest in the homicide of a 26-year-old man in Pelican Narrows.
According to police, officers got a call about an injured man at a home in the northern community just before 4 a.m. on May 21. Officers arriving at the scene found the injured man, who police identified as Jaden Custer, a resident of Pelican Narrows. Custer was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, police said, and his family has been notified of his death.

Police were looking for 31-year-old Brett McCallum for second-degree murder, a charge that was laid on May 22, in connection to the alleged killing of Custer.
RCMP said in a May 23 update that McCallum was arrested by Edmonton Police Service on Saturday and would be taken back to Saskatchewan for his first court appearance, the date of which is still being determined.
