A female teenager who was reported missing was found by police seriously injured in a locked motel room bathroom in North Battleford.
Battlefords RCMP received the report of the missing teen around 6 p.m. on April 25.

“Initial investigation led officers to a motel room in North Battleford, where an adult male was located,” RCMP reported in a news release.
“Officers searched the motel room and located the missing teenager in a locked bathroom with injuries described as serious.”
A 22-year-old man from Turtleford, Sask., is now facing several charges related to the incident. The charges include sexual assault, abduction of a person under 16, sexual interference, forcible confinement, assault, obstructing justice and uttering threats.
The man is set to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on May 22.
Police said further information is not being provided in the case “to be mindful of the victim’s privacy and well-being.”
