Regina Police Service (RPS) called in the police plane on Wednesday after a group of youths told police they had been threatened by a gun.
RPS said in a May 8 news release that a 12-year-old was arrested and charged after officers were called to the area of Dixon Crescent around 10:10 p.m. on May 6.

Police said a group of youths told officers they had been approached by three male youths, and one of them had threatened them with a gun.
The police plane spotted three people matching the description walking in the area and relayed their location to officers on the ground.
Three people were taken into custody, two were later released. Police said they found located an Airsoft handgun and a can of bear spray during a search, and the 12-year-old male youth was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of an imitation weapon and carrying a concealed prohibited device.
He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Youth Court on June 16.
Police dog bites man during arrest
A man was bitten by a police dog during his arrest in Regina this week.
RPS said in a news release on May 8 that officers were called to a fight in the 1500 block of Retallack Street around 8:10 p.m. on May 7.
A police dog unit was called and found a group fitting descriptions of the suspects. A police dog was used arrest one of the men, biting him on the arm, police said.
The man was then treated at the scene by paramedics for the dog bite. A second man who was also arrested was taken to hospital for “assessment and treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening,” police said
Two 18-year-olds have been charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon and assault , while one was also charged with failing to comply with a release order.
Both men appeared in Regina Provincial Court on May 8.
