During the first incident on March 9, two suspects entered the business, took products from the store and left without paying. Similar incidents happened throughout the month of March and into April, until the final incident reported on April 8.
“Investigators from the Regina Police Criminal Investigative Unit, with assistance from the Front Line Support Unit, worked to identify those responsible for these incidents,” police said in a release.
The suspects alleged to be responsible for the thefts were identified and found in the area of Connaught Place around 3:15 p.m. on April 9.
The woman faces 14 counts on the charge of theft, while the man faces 12 counts.
Both suspects appeared in Regina Provincial Court on April 10.
In the release, Regina police explained its “multi-pronged approach to tackling retail theft,” which includes identifying crime trends, locations and repeat offenders.
“Business owners are encouraged to invest in security cameras, if possible, and always report theft to police, using the Direct Entry Victim Reporting system (DEVRS),” police stated in the release.
