If you ride a two-wheeler, Saskatoon police have one warning: drive safe and use caution.
As the spring weather warms up, the Saskatoon Police Service is encouraging motorcyclists to drive appropriately when in the city.
The melting snow has been leaving gravel and potholes behind on Saskatoon’s streets. As the City of Saskatoon crews fill those potholes and complete street sweeping this spring, police encourage motorcyclists to drive more carefully than normal.

Three traffic stops conducted by the police service’s traffic unit on Monday led to officers charging three motorcycle drivers for exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 kilometres per hour, according to a release from Saskatoon police.
One driver received a $977 ticket for travelling 156 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. In a 60 km/h zone, one driver received a $955 penalty for traveling more than double the speed limit, while another’s ticket totalled $899 for driving nearly double the speed limit at 119 km/h.
Each driver also received a seven-day license suspension and had their motorcycles impounded for 30 days.
“Drive safe, Saskatoon,” police said.
