Saskatchewan RCMP are finally sharing more details about reports made early last month about a possible hazardous beverage or liquid in the North Battleford area.
Mounties first warned the public on March 4 about the possibly dangerous drink that was initially thought to potentially be connected to multiple deaths in the Battlefords area.
At the time, police said they did not have a description or any details about the possibly deadly beverage, though RCMP noted at the time it could be connected to several deaths in the area and people were warned to avoid drinking anything they were unsure about.

On April 16, Battlefords RCMP said the investigation into the sudden deaths initially believed to be related to the possibly dangerous drink are “not suspicious in nature.
“As such, we will not be sharing further details to be mindful of the privacy of the deceased,” RCMP stated in a news release.
Mounties said there have been “no further reports of sudden deaths or illness potentially related to a report of a possible hazardous beverage or liquid have been made to police at this time.”
According to police, the initial warning came out of caution after a report to police.
“We welcome reports of this nature so investigators can further assess whether notification about potential dangers to the public is required,” the Battlefords RCMP said in the update.
Should there be any further information pertinent to share with the public, the RCMP said such information will be shared.
