By the end of next week, drivers in Saskatoon will see work completed on the overpass at Highway 16 and Highway 11.
The overpass – which was the first of what would become four Saskatoon overpasses damaged by over-height loads being transported – has had restricted access for drivers in the city since March 5.

The City of Saskatoon has now offered an estimated timeline for the repairs on the overpass to be completed.
According to the city’s engineering manager, Todd Grabowski, the timeline for the repairs was extended after an additional concrete pour was determined to be needed while work was being done.
“The exact reopening date will depend on the placement of the added concrete and the time required for it to cure to the specified strength,” a statement from Grabowski said.
The March 5 collision was the first of four Saskatoon overpasses to be hit last month. A fifth overpass near Moose Jaw was also hit in March 2026.
