Police are investigating a crash that left a 30-year-old pedestrian from the Red Earth Cree Nation dead early on Friday morning.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers were alerted to the crash on Highway 55, east of Nipawin, at around 1:10 a.m. Police said the man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics, and his family has been notified of his death.

“The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“Nipawin RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.”
