Police in Saskatoon seized drugs, data storage and three different types of cryptocurrency as part of a trafficking investigation last month.
According to police, officers raided a home on Bateman Crescent, in the city’s Greystone Heights neighbourhood, on the morning of March 31 as part of a “darknet market drug trafficking investigation.”

Police said officers arrested a 30-year-old man who was believed to be trafficking illegal drugs on “several darknet markets.”
According to police, officers seized Xanax and MDMA from the home, along with “approximately 130 TB of data storage” and various computer components. Police also seized cryptocurrency in the form of Bitcoin (0.447), Ether (0.007895) and Binance Coin (0.0989).
The 30-year-old man is facing charges of trafficking controlled substances and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
The case remains under investigation, police noted.
